HIARC Changes Name to everStor to Reflect Focus on Enterprise-Class Storage-Management Software

POSITIONED TO ATTRACT KEY OEMS; BUILD VAR CHANNEL

Anaheim, CA - May 31, 2001 - HIARC, Inc. announced today that it has changed its name to everStor, Inc. (www.everStor.com). The name was changed to reflect the company's current market position as a developer and publisher of enterprise-class storage-management software for high data-availability environments.

"When our company was formed, we offered only hierarchical data management and storage solutions. Since then, we have broadened our product line and our market, and we wanted a new name that would reflect that change," said Dr. Glenn Salley, CEO of everStor. "This is important as we move to attract key OEMs and build our VAR channel."

"everStor has added a number of key people whose expertise has accelerated our new product development," added Salley. "We will be introducing several products over the next few months. The first will be Replicator, a software module that centralizes control and management functions for replicating specific disks, directories or files from any server or workstation within an enterprise."
